Tottenham Hotspur: Records of a rich history
Here you will find records set by the club. Some are wanted records whilst others perhaps not so much. Many of these records are available to anyone to research but these have been calculated and updated by myself over several years. I constantly check for errors so if you spot something that doesn't seem right send me a comment in the box below but, rest assured, all have been given my complete attention. If their is a record not shown below that you'd like to know let me know in the comment section and I'll get back to you!

White Hart Lane
White Hart Lane became our home in the autumn of 1899 following an 11 year stay at Northumberland Park less than half a mile away. Thanks to the forward thinking of Bobby Buckle and our chairman Charles D Roberts who had heard that the landlord of the White Hart public house may be open to the idea of a football club on the now disused land at the rear of the pub they set up a meeting with him (AF Gilboys)
He had terms that he insisted must be met - A guaranteed gate of 1000 for first team and 500 for reserve team matches. Oh how they must have chuckled internally at this ultimatum taking into account that crowds of up to 14000 were gathering at the Park!
Let's take a look at our record at our home between 1899 and 1917!
Between 9th September 1899 when our first competitive match in the Southern League was held at White Hart Lane until that wonderful finale in 2017 we played 2386 matches at our home ground. Of those we won 1369 drawing 536 and suffered 481 defeats. Our supporters cheered 4935 goals as we conceded 2688.
The above numbers can be broken down as follows:
League P1995 W1103 D463 L429 F3987 A2329
FA Cup P191 W124 D43 L24 F470 A187
League Cup P105 W72 D12 L21 F233 A101
Europe P95 W70 D18 L7 F245 A71
Those who were present on that May afternoon in 2017 will forever remember the occasion as we beat Manchester United 2-1 and remained unbeaten at White Hart Lane for the season.
