White Hart Lane: a stadium to remember
White Hart Lane was our home for 118 years. Our first team played there for the first time on 4th September 1899 and it would be on 14th May 2017 that a ball was kicked on the hallowed turf for the final time. Enjoy these pictures of White Hart Lane over the decades.

The first match v Notts County 4.9.1899
The first match to be played by the first team of Tottenham Hotspur was a friendly against Notts County on 4th September 1899. The line-up that day was:
George Clawley (GK), Harry Erentz, Sandy Tait, John L Jones, James McNaught (Capt), Tom Morris, Tom Smith, Tom Pratt, David Copeland, John Cameron and John Kirwan. The Spurs won the game by 4 goals to 1 Tom Pratt having the distinct honour of being the first Spur to score at the new ground. A David Copeland hat-trick followed to complete a fine afternoon.

The finale v Manchester United 14.5.2017
After 2386 competitive matches the curtains fell on White Hart Lane with a 2-1 victory over Manchester United as we remained unbeaten at home in our final domestic season. Our line-up was :
Lloris (GK, Capt), Kieran Trippier, Ben Davies, Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier, Victor Wanyama, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane. We won 2-1 thanks to goals from Victor Wanyama and Harry Kane - the last Spur to score at the stadium.
