Born in Tottenham on 17th October 1868 Robert Buckle is a name you will see time and time again at every move and with every decision. His vision for a football club was beyond his years and his home address, White Cottage on White Hart Lane, was used as the clubs first headquarters. From his bedroom a 14 year old Buckle would hand write the most beautiful invitations and send them out to those he wished to represent Hotspur FC.
His involvement with the club would cease around 1900 as he moved South of the river but his legacy still lives on today and more and more supporters are realising that the white house with the green door on the corner of White Hart Lane and the Tottenham High Road (Now 7 White Hart Lane) was where it all began for Tottenham Hotspur!
